I have to admit something with this one… I love food. I really do, and when you love food you just can’t get enough of it. Most importantly I MUST state that I love REAL FOOD. I DO NOT eat processed foods if and when I can help it. No snickers or tv dinners in this house. I find myself a little too “in the moment” sometimes when I eat someting that tastes too good, and these days this involves pretty much most of my meals. This meal was no exception.
Breakfast on this perticular day consisted of 3 sunny side up pastured eggs, pastured italian sausages, a raw fermented pickle, 2 pieces of sprouted bread with pastured butter, raw colby cheese, and some organic strawberries. The eggs were cooked just enough to cook the white and leave the yoke raw, and the sausage was cooked at a low temp until done. Pastured food products contain more nutrients than conventional grain fed, and also contain valiable nutirnets not found in conventional feed. Eating more nutritionally dense foods means more health for you.
I think this one tasted so good not only because of the quality ingredients involved but because of the variety on one single plate. The toast was buttery, the cheese was very strong tasting, the pickle was spicy, the strawberries were sweet, and then eggs were fresh. I could eat this every morning!
