Butter Is Good!

Butter

Butter is good.  Butter is good.  Butter is good.  Imagine the conversations that would stir up if you tried to tell people this.  Well get ready for a BIG surprise… because Butter is good!  Butter not only tastes good but it is good for you, and I am going to tell you some of the reasons why.

Where does it come from?  To keep this explanation short, butter is made from taking the cream from milk and either shaking it, stirring it, churning it or blending it until you get the fats to clump together.  You then want to press the remaining milk out of the butter.  You want to press the milk out so that it doesn’t end up spoiling the butter.  That is very basically how it is made.  I bet you didn’t know it was that easy… well it is but it can take some time depending on the method.  I have read that using a mixer can make it very quick, but stirring it would take longer.

Why butter?  Butter has been used for centuries by many civilizations.  It is an excellent source of many vital nutrients that your body needs to stay healthy.  People would save stockpiles of the pastured butter from cows during the summer for the long winter months as a primary energy source.  Pastured butter helps your body more effectively absorb and assimilate nutrients because it contains high amounts of fat as well as components such as Vitamin K2 (X factor, Activator X).  It is a great source of saturated fats which help your body to digest the other foods you eat along with it.  It has balanced amounts of “Omega” fats like  3, 6, and CLA.

Well then why not Margarine?  Something like vegetables oil or margarine based “butters” are processed and do not occur naturally.    Margarine is hydrogenated vegetable oil, which creates a lot of trans fat.  Margarine was initially created while looking for a cheap substitute of butter for the armed forces.  Because of the way Margarine is made it is void of nutrition so it has to be fortified with vitamins and minerals.  These vitamins and minerals are at times synthetic versions and not the real natural forms.  This makes your body work to complete the components that are missing which can cause toxic byproducts.  Your body was designed to have to “fix” the nutrients that are consumed, and while it can do it’s job you will pay the price after a while.  Even after this fortification is done Margarine is still way behind butter in terms of nutrition value.  Also, vegetable oil based margarine is made from oils which more than likely have gone rancid.  Vegetable oils tend to go rancid unless processed properly and stored away in a cold place away from light.  Companies do not have these practices when making a lot of quick, cheap ingredients.  They simply don’t know, don’t care, or can’t be bothered with the additional cost that might occur.  Welcome to the world of mass production…

People LOOSE weight when they have proper amounts of fats in their diets, which means A LOT of fat.  This happens because fats are the ideal source of energy for the body.  This has been the case for hundreds of thousands of years.  When you eat a diet high in low fat products while at the same time consuming toxic substances along with these products, you get obesity.  You are literally starving your body, so it goes into store mode!  This goes against everything you will hear about from any “mainstream” information sources.  People are so “low fat” lately it is sickening… literally!  People are causing all of their health problems simply from what they eat because they have been misinformed throughout the decades.  Luckily there are traditional diets that contain real wholesome foods and contain loads of fat (like pastured butter, pastured animal meats, pastured eggs, ect) that have stood through the tests of time that do very well.  Ever wonder why great grandma was so healthy?  It is because even 100 years ago they still ate much better than today, although food started changing at that time.  The people that recognize the new research about the importance of fats are enjoying healthy and happy lives.  I will be talking about things like this down the road.
